A course in the graduate school bound track in which the student proposes, designs, conducts, and writes up for submission an original empirical investigation. The problem and hypothesis investigated must be current and the design must adequately test the hypothesis so that in the judgment of the faculty of the department, the paper may be submitted for presentation at a professional conference or publication in a professional journal, given that the research hypothesis is supported. Prerequisites: PSYC 101, 301, SS 250 plus 12 hours of upper level Psychology courses.
