Introduction to the field of environmental chemistry. Concepts from atmospheric and aquatic chemistry as it is applied to the environment such as photochemistry, global warming, ozone depletior carbon cycle, equilibrium principles, acids and bases, complexation and dissolution, and electron transfer processes. Current topics in environmental issues and analytical methods will be discussed. Prerequisite: CHEM 340; Corequisite: CHEM 336.
