The course emphasizes the intimate relationship between business planning and technology planning for e-businesses. Details of specific e-commerce technologies will be covered as well as approaches to e-business planning. Topics include: technologies, architectures, and infrastructures; information security and privacy; supply-chain management and customer relationship management; requirements definition and analysis; development lifecycles; customer behaviors; performance models; service metrics; waiting and response times; traffic characteristics; load forecasts and scenarios; resources and costs estimation; risk analysis; optimization; capacity planning; and e-business financial planning and deployment.
