Russia’s literary tradition includes a rich vein of poetry, prose, and memoir written by women. In this course, we will read and analyze a broad sampling of Russian women’s literature. We will examine works composed from the eighteenth to the twenty-first centuries; the emphasis of the course will be on literature of the twentieth century and the contemporary period.
