Description:
Basic principles of heredity including cytogenetics, mendelian and biochemical genetics. Three lectures and one hour laboratory per week. Laboratory includes executing and interpreting genetic experiments. An additional research project is also completed in the laboratory. Primarily for biology majors and minors,majors in biology teacher educa- tion, students in pre-professional programs, and advanced students in the health professions. Prerequisities: BIO 124, 125, 200, and 202; CHEM 110, 111, 112 and 113. MATH 145 or 160.
