The origin, formation, definitions, and correct use of technical terms in biology and medicine, emphasizing Latin and Greek roots, prefixes and suffixes commonly used in forming and defining terms. Three lectures per week. Re- commended for biology majors and minors, majors in biology teacher education, students in pre-professional programs (pre-medical, pre-dental, etc.), and the health professions, and non-science majors in foreign language and English.
