Description:
A survey course in the visual arts emphasizing the development of perceptual and conceptual awareness through an investigation of the nature of art. Significant artists and artworks from western and non-western cultures throughout history are studied and issues important to artists will be discussed. Attendance at local and/or regional art exhibitions and museums is required. The completion of a sophomore portfolio will be required of all students. Open to Art Majors only during the spring semester of their sophomore year.
