Description:
Students learn to use the physical properties of weight, momentum, countertension and speed to provoke spontaneous, fully-embodied dancing. This studio class introduces basic principles and patterns, such as exchanging weight with a partner, that lead to increasingly complex and daring movement. Working individually, with partners, and in groups, students learn to make alert and intelligent movement decisions as they improvise. Prerequisite: DANC 120 or permission of instructor. (C) (PE Requirement)
