The student experiences actual family therapy practice under the supervision of a counseling professional who is experienced in family therapy at a field-training site. The site may be a school, social service agency, mental health clinic, or any other approved counseling setting. The student is expected to spend the equivalent of 7 hours per week at the site (100 clock hours) providing family therapy to children, and participate in a regular supervision seminar. Prerequisites: COUN 651 and 652.
