Prerequisite: None Three hours lecture. This course provides an exploration of gender within the context of counseling and psychotherapy. Specifi cally, this course examines how gender, as both a social construct and a core identity, shapes psychosocial development. A primary emphasis consists of students becoming more knowledgeable about the impact of gender on their personal lives and the impact of gender in their role as a counselor and their work with clients.
