Description:
A required course for all students seeking certification in special education. The course requires the application of methods within a one-semester placement in a special education setting. The student spends five days per week in the classroom and attends weekly seminars on campus. The student observes, participates, teaches and assumes responsibility for a class under the guidance of the cooperating teacher and college personnel. Prerequisites: SED 146, 149, 236, 347, 348, EDU 370, CMD 100, CMD 240,EPY 244, EPY 350, all required field experiences, substance abuse, child abuse, HIV/AIDS training, and approval of application by the program faculty. Students must register for SED 479 and SED 480 concurrently. Fall, Spring
