(Pre-requisite: At least one of the following: PS 219; SOC 220; HIST 125, 126 or 213; PHIL 218, 231; WOMN 215/SOC 315 or have permission of the instructors.)This travel course takes students to visit one or more women’s economic cooperatives in Latin America. Through reading, reflection, and site visits, students will be challenged to understand the burdens placed on women in Latin America as well as the roles that women have played in that region’s development.
