Description:
-
This course will address the specific needs of heritage speakers of Russian, develping those aspects of their speaking, reading and writing skills and cultural knowledge that will promote the attainment of professional-level proficiency. It is organized around a content-based curriculum, designed to build linguistic (grammar and vocabulary) and communicative skills and cultural awareness. Unlike the gradual case-by-case approach that is appropriate for non-heritage students, this course will adapt a more aggressive approach, concentrating on larger concepts while gradually improving spelling, grammar and stylistics.
