Lecture 3 hours, 3 credits. Prerequisites: Grade of C or better in CHEM 116N or CHEM 117 or CHEM 127N or CHEM 137N or CHEM 123N and CHEM 124N. This foundational course provides an introduction to inorganic chemistry. Topics include periodic law, bonding theory, oxidation/reduction, acid/base theory, descriptive chemistry of the main group, and an introduction to transition metal coordination chemistry.
