Lecture 1 hour; studio 5 hours; 3 credits. Prerequisites: ARTS 211, 311 and 411 or permission of the instructor. The first of a two-semester sequence of concentrated individual work. Students will identify a topic and create a complete body of work culminating in the senior show, ARTS 400. Lectures, readings, discussion, critique, and field trips to develop the articulation of ideas and the clarification of purpose.
