Description:
-
The course provides students with a solid background consistant with current changes in the trade practices, materials, and the requirements of the 2008 edition of the National Electrical Code currently used today, and is arranged in a logical sequence consisting of four sections: fundamentals, installation, planning and specialized installations, following the order in which the installation would be made in a typical residentail structure. Although the course content is concerned primarily with residential installations, many of the concepts and principles may be applied to commercial and industrial electrical construction. The most complicated procedures will be simply explained step-by-step and students will receive ample hands-on training within the safety of the classroom. The principles of electricity remain fixed, while the methods, materials and and tools of the trade are continuously evolving. This course presents both the fundamentals of electrical wiring and the latest practices used in the trade. 7 sessions
