Description:

This hands-on course will help prepare you for the CompTIA A+ certification. You will receive expert instruction from certified instructors currently working in the field. Through a combination of lectures, presentations and hands-on lab exercises you will be prepared to successfully take the A+ certification exam. Utilizing our new A+ hardware kits, you'll learn advanced hardware and software installation and configuration concepts. Topics covered in this course are: safety, power supplies, motherboards, CPU's, BIOS, memory, cables and buses, drives, storage, portable computers, troubleshooting techniques, printers, OS installation and configuration, upgrading and basic networking concepts. Windows OS and software, Linux, Novell, Mac OS, security and VM will be covered. Prerequisite: PC knowledge, Windows, Internet, exceptions can be made on a case by case basis. Purchase of textbook required. (84 hours/ 28 sessions)
