This is a series leadership modules to develop a fire officer. These modules will cover material not normally contained in the standard fire officer training program. This series will teach the student leadership skills to be an effective officer in the fire service. The art of being a good fire officer takes more than being competent on the fireground. Topics include: The Development of a Fire Service Leader; Motivating Fire Fighters; Communicating, Talking, Listening; Making Decisions on the Fireground. Your instructor is John Miles, a Captain with Ladder 35 in the New York City Fire Department. 4 sessions.
