Description:

This course is designed for studens requesting re-admission to the OCCC nursing program and for LPN's requesting advanced standing to NUR 102. Content includes current nursing program policies, medication calculations, nursing process, legal and ethical issues in nursing, review of infection control and review of select nursing procedures. There will be graded quizzes, skill performance evaluations and Nursing Care Plans. Students must achieve a grade of 80% on Clinical Calculations Skill exam Level I. Successful completion of this course is required for consideration for admission/readmission into the Nursing Program.
