Seminar on reducing the incidence and impact of domestic violence through appropriate social work practice with battered women. Emphasis on the simultaneous need for quality direct services and for public policy changes to help end violence against women. An underlying assumption is that the intergration of direct service and policy-level improvements will result in the empowerment of battered women.
