An interdiciplinary course presenting the political, social, economic, educationa, and religious dimensions of metropolitan areas. Socio-demographic trends and methods for analyzing neighborhoods will be discussed. The political and governmental system with an emphasis on its state and local manifestations will be presented. These topics will be explored against the background of cultural diversity which exists in society.
