Description:
-
This course emphasizes both how the law defines a "disability," and how the courts have construed and applied the law, and how specific laws address both intentional and unintentional discrimination against people with disabilities in the areas of employment and education. The course will focus on statutory and common law but will also introduce extralegal texts and practical exercises to provide a broader perspective for class discussion of these issues. The grade will be based upon a final examination.
