The Honors Colloquium is a required interdisciplinary seminar designed to introduce the Honors student to the intellectual standards and ethos of the Honors community on campus. It will do this by serving as a model in both form and content. Thus, the course is designed to challenge the student academically and to foster the value of "learning for learning’s sake" that is the benchmark of the Honors Program at Hilbert College. The course content, emphasizing reading, thinking, and writing critically, will be multi­disciplinary and issue driven. As a seminar, the course structure will be discussion-oriented. Prerequisite: Acceptance in the Honors Program.
