This course will examine private security as it relates to the business world and the criminal justice system. A survey of security theory and techniques will be applied to a variety of business, institutional and industrial settings. The technological tools of private security will be discussed as will the importance of security to protecting assets and profit. This course also will expose the student to the evolution and modern rationale for security as well as the fundamental concepts upon which to base more advanced course work.
