This is an advanced course offering in the field of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. The course will allow students to learn the psychological foundations of organizational training and employee development. In addition, students will utilize these core concepts in an applied project. The students will conduct a needs assessment, will design a training program, will conduct a formal presentation to introduce the training program, and will design the evaluation of the training. The course follows the scientist-practitioner model which allows the application of recent research findings in practical settings.
