This professional development course examines student-cented, inquiry-based teaching methodology and its particular application to the On-line Expeditions curriculum model. Its purpose is to assist educator in experiencing and developing curriculum which has technology and art - integrated focus, and which links students to live, field-based expeditions across the globe. The course explores various arts integration strategies, and the use of arts to engae students in meaningful academic inquiry. The course will also explore concrete ways to develop student technological capabilities, as well as specific local action initiatives which connect global issue learning to community service.
