This professional development course prepares teachers to develop and implement technology-integrated, inquiry-based curriculum. This student center and teacher guided instructional approach engages students in investigating real world questions which they choose within a broad thematic framework. Participating teachers learn strategies for engaging their students in activating prior knowledge; developing researchable questions; acquiring, analyzing and organizing information; visualizing and representing information; and assessing result. Participants develop skill in reflecting on their work as they support the development of technology rich, inquiry based learning communities in their classrooms.
