Description:
An integrative approach to teaching language arts and social studies will be introduced. Characteristics of the learner within their cultural heritage, sources of literary and community information, and concepts embodied in interdisciplinary theme units will be examined along with strategies for facilitating communication competencies in the content areas, fine arts, and humanities. Methods of inclusion of special needs student in the regular classroom are included. A minimum of 50 clinical hours is required.
