Focus on current theories and research and their implications for learning and identification of teaching practices that facilitate the acquisition of intellectual and social skills of children and youth. Attention to characteristics covered by PL.94-142 as well as differences due to social, cultural and ethnic factors. Twenty hours of classroom observation required.
