Study geolofical, ecological and meterological systems of a selected area. Develop environmental management alternatives to be presented to the community through a group report, research paper or video. Eight day field trip, preceded and followed by on-campus meetings. Introduction to the study of plate collision island geology and associated ecosystems. Help explore extensive cave systems in a karst region. Study methods for reduction of non-point source pollution on Mediterranean beaches. Gain hands-on experience with field research methods, problem-solving and report writing. Learn about careers in environmental management and engineering.
