Explores and evaluates practices in organizing and administering early childhood centers. Areas of study include housing, equipping, staffing, and financing. Policies related to health and safety, admission, grouping, recording, reporting, teacher development and school and community relations are developed. Opportunity is provided for the study of problems and issues in specific types of schools such as the cooperative nursery school, the day care centers, the private nursery school, Head Start programs, Follow Through programs, Inclusive Child Development Centers -- pre-kindergarten through third grade in urban and suburban communities.
