An in-depth coverage of the concepts and techniques underlying the development, use and control of both manual and computerized accounting information systems. Focus is on the understanding and evaluation of accounting information and accounting information systems, and the understanding of the theory and practice of internal control. Particular emphasis will be placed on the cost and benefit of accounting information and the strengths and weaknesses of accounting information systems using current technology.
