TRAVEL COURSE: Major events and cultural conditions related to Irish history, rebellion and literature will be studied. Required readings will be supplemented by films, broadcasts, songs, and literary gems such as poems and short stories. The course provides insights into both the Irish abroad and here in the United States, as well as insights into the uneasy alliance between Ireland and Mother England. Counts as intercultural credit. Satisfies international exploratory requirement. Travel Fees: Course will satisfy intercultural or international exploratory requirement.
