Description:
Students will learn symbolic logic and use it in solving problems and writing proofs. Students will then work with more generalized logic problems and their solutions. After a brief introduction to probability, students will devise strategies for playing simple board games, which will lead to a study of commercial board games such as Othello, Backgammon, and Risk. This class meets twice a day for sixteen days during Winter Term. Fees: $25
