Combines study and practice of the sounds of the Spanish language – basic phonetics and regional dialects - with the development of communicational fluency. Includes activities such as film and television viewing, a native speaker interview assignment, tongue twisters, phonetic transcription, and in-class conversation and cultural presentations. Prerequisite: a grade of C- or better in SPA 211 or consent of instructor. Offered on sufficient demand. Does not satisfy international exploratory requirement.
