A survey of Non-Western Music from across the globe. Students will develop skills for describing various musical styles and work toward understanding music's role in cultural identity. Students will learn to play instruments from these societies in a weekly performance lab and the class will conclude with a concert on campus. Course Fee: $30. Satisfies fine arts exploratory and intercultural exploratory. Fall, even years.
