The course explores the connections among the liberal arts and issues, developments and trends in the mass media. Includes study of media theories and media history; and of how selected aspects of liberal arts and exploratory course topics are evident - and are often necessary for career success - in the mass media. Course requires a minimum of 20 hours of work on a service learning project. Open to all majors. Prerequisites: All LA core courses - LA 101, LA 102, LA 103, LA 111, LA 112, LA 201.
