Provides students with introductory practical skills needed to work in multi-media publishing settings. Students learn how to merge news reporting and writing with audio, visual and interactive Web design. Each student develops an interactive media platform that includes student-generated news gathering, news writing, digital photography, digital audio, digital video, social media elements and mobile media elements. Fall and spring. Prerequisites: JOU 120, JOU 150 and JOU 160.
