This program is designed to provide home health care workers with the skills to plan and prepare healthy, tasteful and nutritious meals for their at home patients. Proper hygiene, kitchen sanitation and food safety are stressed. Nutrition and preparation of basic food types for balanced meals and special diets are covered. Students learn and practice cooking and culinary skills to provide a variety of healthy meal and snack options.
