This training and certification course is designed to teach a systematic approach to performing advanced life support skills. The advanced skills on a patient involve invasive and non-invasive procedures. Procedures include: cardiac monitoring, cardiac defibrillation, transcutaneous pacing, intravenous cannulation, iinterosseous access and intraosseous infusion, surgical and needle crixothyrotomy, needle decompression, advanced medication administration through parental and enteral routes. Program content consists of instructional lectures, ¿hands-on¿ training and testing in the practical skills of ACLS. Successful completion of the course will certify the candidates as AHA ACLS Providers.
