Description:
This course is a continuation of Adult Echocardiography I discussing pathophysiology commonly seen in the adult heart, including post operative findings such as prosthetic valves and heart transplantations, pacemaker wires, internal defibrillator wires, and central lines. Selected topics include identification and significance of tumors, missiles, myxomas, masses, contrast agents, and adult congenital heart diseases. Advanced ultrasound modalities such as 3D echocardiography, cardiac resynchronization therapy, and atrial septal defect closure devices will be discussed.
