This course focuses on cardiac anatomy, circulatory pathway, blood flow diagrams, cardiac pressures, cardiac murmurs, basic ECG concepts and chest roentgenopgraphy. Includes discussion of essential modes of echocardiography such as 2D, M-mode, Doppler, color flow Doppler and related hemodynamic calculations. Course emphasizes identification and description of normal cardiac structures in selected media including graphic illustrations, anatomic models, and ultrasound images.
