Students will be introduced to the basics of biotechnology and the biology required to understand biotechnology. Students will then learn about the local biotech industry and some of the general practices shared by all biotech industries. Students will spend the second half of the course focusing on the specifics of either biomanufacturing or medical device manufacturing, earning a certificate in the area of their focus.
