Intervention includes appropriate selection and application of specific treatment procedures as well as other skilled interactions with the patient and other individuals as required. Intervention strategies are based on the results of an appropriate examination and evaluation. Several skills and intervention strategies that are central to the practice of physical therapy are covered at a basic level.
