FUDA POCC 350 - Contemporary Chinese Politics

This course covers seven most significant issues of contemporary politics and governance in China, with an intention to encourage research interests on China. Based on empirical studies and working experience in government, each session will be lectured by Dr. Bo Peng, associate professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, deputy director of Policy Institute of Yang Pu District Committee, Shanghai, Chinese Communist Party (2004-2005). Each meeting lasts for three hours. The first two hour is lecturing with a PPT while the second hour as discussion based on each topic, including question-answers, comments and more detailed discussion.
