An overview of the artistic genius of contemporary French women writers from the 1950s to present with biographical details of authors and explanations of style differences. The course is a synthesis of political developments and creative expression in the feminist movement. Class discussions evolve from reading selections that include French and Francophone narrative, drama, poetry and political writings.
