This is a course in the multiple aspects and practices of Children’s Theatre in America. The course examines the theatrical conventions and structures of this distinct area of Theatre. This course explores the multiple areas of children’s theatre from performance of text to puppetry. This course includes writing a paper on Children’s theatre or practitioner in America. The art of Children’s theatre is a loss of our present inhibitions and willingness to rediscover the child within. We discuss and explore all areas of performing for children. No previous experience required.
