BARC BUSP 390 - International Marketing

Institution:
Arcadia University
Subject:
Description:
This course provides an overview of international marketing concepts, with a particular focus on Europe. The course content is grounded in theory and integrated with real-life business experiences and/or case studies. The course begins with an overview of business globalization trends and their impact on global marketing, followed by an examination of the impact of cultural differences on European marketing strategies. Later, it examines specific global marketing concepts such as market research, product offering, pricing, advertising, promotion, and market entry strategies. Students will work in small teams in order to analyze actual business cases, prepare answers to case discussion questions, and make presentations to the rest of the class. Globalization demands that marketing and sales strategies must be increasingly grounded on a wider knowledge of cultural and human values from other cultures. Students abroad would benefit from a course like this, which will improve their capacity to understand better other cultures, and thus allow them to become more successful cross border marketers, dealers and sales professionals.
