Considers works of Marx, Weber, Durkheim, Freud, Parsons, Mead and Goffman, as well as Gilman, Mitchell, Eisenstein and other feminist theorists. Reviews critiques and elaborations of the theories and assesses their influence on sociology today. (old #385) Prerequisite: A course in social diversity or contemporary social problems.
