Description:
This is a seminar course emphasizing corporate and departmental-level planning, directing and evaluating the information technology activities of a firm. The primary goal of this course is to help future managers develop frameworks for thinking about the introduction, evolution and assimilation of information technology into an organization. Advanced IS majors operating as a high-performance team will engage in and complete the business evaluation, business planning, recommendation of strategic options and implementation of a real-life business organization in a crossfunctional setting. This course provides an opportunity for BIS majors to align the IS function with other business functions. Project management, management of the IS function, and systems integration will be components of the project experience. Prerequisite: BIS 480.
